  Meet me there, won't you? As we draw closer to the extended deadline, we cannot but help ask ourselves: what is camping and why do we camp? In layman's term, it is simply a group of individuals who share a common idea getting together to fulfill that mission in an out-door environment. We camp because we love it. It helps most of us to be free of the worries of this world for a few days. We feel closer to God, as nature is another of God's text-book. We get to practice what we learn. There are camps for all kinds of things, but the one I like most is the day camp. Do you know why?  It is because someone else has to think up all the activities to keep children occupied that I cannot provide of and for myself. You fall, so what get up! try again tomorrow. You get wet! (water, water, lots of it!) You didn't quite get to the top, or ding ding ding, hurray, you made it.  Plan to be there. Its gonna be fun. I'll be there, make it a date and meet me there. Where???   Arrangements for Daryn Mc Kay's Funeral Just a reminder of the arrangements for Daryn Mc Kay's funeral. 1. We are asking Pathfinder and Master Guides to attend the funeral on Thursday in their Class A uniform. 2. Bring your gloves. Do not wear sash. 3. We will have color guard, honor guard and drum corps in attendance. We may have some Pathfinders and Master Guides, and Officers from other churches attending to help us out. The emotional environment will be too difficult for some of our own pathfinders. 4. Some pathfinders may be asked to assist in ushering. 5. Since the viewing starts at 9am, we should try and be there BEFORE 9am 6. Coordinator Irwin will make necessary assignments in terms of honor guard, etc. Please cooperate. Again, we want to extend our deepest sympathy to the McKay family on the death of Daryn. May God comfort them at this time and reaffirm their faith in Him.

  NEC Pathfinder Camporee-2010 We will be at Camp Berkshire! There will be Volleyball, Biking, Boating,  Zip and Post lines, Climbing wall and many more. The honors will be done including drill and drum activities.  Directors, please make sure that all permission slips are properly filled out and signed by the appropriate individuals. The deadline has been extended to July 15th, 2010. After that the late fee will be attached. Clubs can also register at the camp.
